Steel Rolls For Rolling Mills are massive cylindrical metal tools used in pairs to shape, compress, reduce the thickness of metal stock. They are built to endure extreme mechanical pressure, high heat and heavy friction during hot and cold rolling processes. Main Parts of a Roll Roll body (barrel) is the active outer surface that touches and squeezes the metal. Roll necks is the ends resting on bearings inside the mill stand. Roll ends is the tips that connect to the motor drive to turn the roll.
